This time Roadies goes international.. again. But season 6 has many firsts to its credit too! For starters, Raghu has help in the form of his twin Rajiv to bajao the contestants! And for the first time auditions were conducted in Ahmedabad. Also they go to the land of babes & beaches - Australia. So watch out for Twin Trouble this saturday @ 7pm!

Ok so we got an entirely new website, quite a new team and a new Mac too!

Ok first up this is Ranjeet our video editor. he's the one who cuts up the videos you see on the site. Psssst.. He's also a gym instructor. Multi-talented, we say!

The evil looking chick sitting on the left is Eunice, another of our video editors. She's the one who got us hooked to the Mac special effects! That's me (Evita) choking Aliya because.. hell, she's annoying sometimes!

That's Aliya on the right, me on the left and Sanjay, our Tech Head (literally). Oh yes, any bugs that y'all encounter on the new site, he's to blame! And don't ask us why Ranjeet is giving the cam that strange look in the background.

That tiny lil head you see there belongs to Mr. Ali, the bigg boss. Oh and Aliya's trying to air dig his nose. Mr. Ali gets the yummiest dabbas btw.

Aliya & me again, she in her Mother-Of-The-Joker avatar and me in my err regular one. Oooh oooh we have a new entrants, Neha who handles our very useful moble short code 56882 and half-headed Mithun who manages the video content. And yawnnnn Ranjeet again.

Paromita - an NGO worker who works with children. She really wants to raise money for the needy. She's looking for lakhs.

Wild Weekend?

There is nothing fun at the movies these days. No big releases. No fun movies. Nothing. Nada. Post RGV Ki Aa g and then Darling, this week we have low-fi releases like Aggar and Nanhe Jaisalmer.

So we've been wondering what to do with our weekend and what films to tell you to watch. Vaibhav Wankhede has been indulging in critic self-torture for your sake. Read his review of Aggar, Because I Said So and then send Mars bars (his fav, ok no my fav) to the MTV Office.

Here's of list of activities we recommend for your weekend:

1. Watch a DVD of Anand to see Rajesh Khanna kick Big B's butt. In the acting department.
2. Go to a 2nd hand bookstore and get a foreign issue of Maxim. Any year will do. Don't look at the chicks, just read the features. Trust us on this one.
3. Look for Britney's sucky VMA performance on YouTube. Follow this up with a so funny-you'll-laugh your head off episode of Happy Tree Friends.
4. Think all the above is like super boring? Ok Mr/Ms. Adventurous you tell us what to do. See the Comment link? Click on it.

Lastly, if you live in Mumbai, travel by road and keep and eye out for street hoardings then you would have noticed Mia and Cyrus dressed in leather. Well guess what, we seemed to have ticked off the "authorities" and we've had to censor the controversial ad.

Remember the time when our website MTVindia.com went into the protective mode on World Aids Day, and without wearing a virtual condom you couldn't get in? Well we've won the Webby award for that wacky concept.

Looks like Facebook has not only taken over Orkut but also our lives. Everyone here in the MTV office is hooked on the what Clyde D'souza (Editor, MTV Digital) describes as "better than sex".

I went around the office asking people what their fav. Facebook application is and here' what I gathered:

The Update

OK, we apologise for being a little inconsiderate towards this blog. We were busy scratching our noses and debating about where do babies come from. And now that we've done with cleaning our nose and the debate is finally over (though a stork is still being interrogated) let's get to the point, shall we?

Firstly, thanks for making the Orkut-MTV Youth Icon Community such a big hit. And if you missed chatting with VJ Nikhil on Tuesday, well.. too bad for you! On the other hand, if you like our new VJ Mia (who doesn't?), we've put up her hot new sexy pics for download - go ahead, download those but please don't touch yourself while you look at them.

'Absolutely lame' would be the right word for the new Robin Williams' movie License To Wed - review here. After reading that, you can go take a nap. Then get up, freshen up and get to know about what's happening on Kaleidoscope, the annual inter-collegiate festival of Sophia College, Mumbai.

Leprosy is fun!

That's the title of the book which I intend to write sometime later. It's a tragic love story between two bloodthirsty goats. Bleh! On the more fun side we've got some changes done in the office. Yup, the office looks new. The website looks super sexy. The only thing which hasn't changed is that I can't understand how can people listen to country music. But let's save that for another blog post.

And, what do we have for you? If you like listening to Bollywood music, you've got to check out our Cash music review. And while you're at it, why not take a part in the MTV Cash Contest where you can win audio CDs and movie tickets? Feels like Christmas already, eh? So you've seen the new channel look and a lot of you have posted your views in the 'it's my pov' section, but what about the new website - do you like it?
Right now it's got 4 sections, like:

It's My Show - Show info and video clips from our new shows. We are going to be adding a lot more to this, so hang on.
It's My Logo - Create an MTV logo that helps you express yourself. (check it out, it's pretty cool)
It's My Blog - It's about time we had a blog so we could talk to you about the latest developments on air, online, on mobile and sometimes just to let you in on the MTV studio gossip:). We suggest you add this to your favourites and don't forget to write comments.
It's My POV - This section is truly yours. Write your point of view on our channel, our new VJ Mia, our old VJs, our shows, the music we play, our site...anything.

Our new site is still very new and it's taking its first baby steps which means they may be a few bugs. But we want you to be a part of it, so we can give you the best of MTV on any medium - on air or online.
